As an EU consumer you have 14 days to withdraw from your purchase. Because our service starts immediately, there is one important condition – explained in section 2. Beyond the statutory right, we also operate a goodwill policy for technical faults we cannot fix.
1Your Statutory Right of Withdrawal
Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 484/2013), which implement Directive 2011/83/EU in Ireland, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.
The period begins on the day the contract is concluded – that is, the day we confirm your order by email.
2The Digital Content Exception
At checkout you are asked to tick a box confirming both points. If you do not tick it, we will not activate your subscription until the 14-day period has expired.
If you tick the box and we activate your access, the statutory right of withdrawal no longer applies – but our goodwill policy in section 4 still does.
3How to Withdraw
To exercise the right of withdrawal, send us a clear statement before the 14 days expire. You may use any wording, or the model form below.
Email contact@iptvireland.irish with the subject line «Withdrawal» and include:
- your full name and the email address used for the order;
- your order number and order date;
- a statement that you are withdrawing from the contract.
Model withdrawal form
To IPTV Ireland, contact@iptvireland.irish:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following service: [subscription plan].
Ordered on: [date]
Order number: [number]
Name of consumer: [name]
Email of consumer: [email]
Date: [date]
We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal without delay.
4Goodwill Refund for Technical Faults
Separately from the statutory right, we refund where we genuinely cannot deliver the service. If you experience a persistent technical fault, contact support first – most issues are resolved within a few hours.
If our support team cannot resolve the fault within 72 hours of your first report, you may request a full refund of the unused portion of your subscription.
What is covered
- The service does not activate at all after payment.
- Persistent buffering or outages traced to our infrastructure.
- A material part of the advertised channel package is unavailable for more than 72 hours.
What is not covered
- An internet connection below the required 15 Mbps (HD) or 25 Mbps (4K).
- Faults in your own device, app, router or local network.
- A change of mind after the service has been used without any reported fault.
- Suspension or termination following a breach of our Terms & Conditions, such as credential sharing.
- Individual channels withdrawn by the upstream rights holder, where the rest of the package works.
5How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are returned using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will not incur any fee as a result of the refund.
We issue the refund without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of accepting your request, as required by Regulation 19 of S.I. 484/2013. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the money may take a further 3–5 working days to appear on your statement.
Where you withdraw after expressly requesting that supply begin during the withdrawal period, we may deduct an amount proportionate to the service already supplied.
6Free Trial
Where a free trial is offered, it is provided at no cost and requires no payment details. A free trial creates no contract of sale, so no refund can arise from it. We recommend testing your setup during the trial before purchasing.
7If You Are Not Satisfied
If we reject your refund request and you disagree, reply to our decision explaining why – we will review it again.
If the matter remains unresolved, you may contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Ireland, or the European Consumer Centre Ireland (ECC Ireland) for cross-border complaints. You may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform. Using these services does not affect your right to bring court proceedings.
